Direct bids are manual bids by the buyer of what they are willing to pay at this point in the auction. These bids directly correlate to the new highest bid.

Proxy bids allow the system to automatically place new bids on your behalf each time you are outbid. All you need to do is enter the maximum price you are willing to bid for an item. Then the auction system will bid for you, by the smallest possible increase each time, until your maximum bid is reached. You may increase your proxy bid at any time if you wish.

Proxy bidding is only available on the individual calf's page, not in the auction catalog

All bids must be $5 or more above the current bid.

Reserve prices are set based on our local markets for back to farm calves. If a calf does not meet the reserve the top bidder will be given the opportunity to purchase the calf at it's reserve price. Bidders may also use a direct bid to meet the reserve price of a calf.

This auction utilizes 'Popcorn Bidding' where if a bid is cast in the last 2 minutes of the auction it will automatically extend the closing 5 minutes. This prevents sneaking in last second bids.
